I wish the scene wasn’t dead. I remember when it was neat and different to like bands like Arcade Fire and wear vintage clothing and be an activist, (protesters, vegetarians, environmentalists, etc.) and read books like Sex, Drugs, and Coco Puffs. Alas, the indie scene, I think, is unofficially dead. It certainly not cool anymore. Everyone is just like everyone else, especially here on the east coast. I even miss the emo scene; several years before the indie scene. “I guess this is growing up”?
